About

I’d really like to keep the focus on you. Your business, what’s making it harder than it needs to be, and what I can do to make it better for you.

But if you must know…

My name is Madeline. I live in Colorado, where I’m considerably more interested in mountains, animals, live music, building things, and being outside than I am in making work my entire personality.

Which is probably why, when I finally decided what I wanted to do for a living, I had one fairly simple requirement:
I have to actually enjoy the work.

Not necessarily chocolate-and-exotic-vacations enjoyment.

Just work that I find - for whatever reason - irrefutably satisfying.

Problem-solving
Building efficient systems
Streamlining operations
Eradicating mess
Smoothing friction points
Simplification
Converting “this is driving everyone insane” to “oh… this is working!”
Taking something complicated, and turning it into something fluid

GENIUNELY FUN

Tedium
Needless complexity
Drama
Wasted time
Disrespect
Confusion
Processes that take 7 steps when 3 would do
Meetings that could have been emails
Processes everyone quietly hates but nobody has been able to pause long enough to fix

LITERALLY NO FUN

It turns out that “figuring it out” is the part I like best.

I’ve spent more than a decade working in operations, systems development, licensing, executive support, compliance, multi-location businesses, and the general category of “someone needs to turn all these moving parts into a system... yesterday.”

I like understanding how a business works - not how it theoretically works on paper. I like talking to the people actually doing the work, finding the friction points, noticing the connections that may have missed, and building practical solutions around reality.

I am not especially interested in making things more complicated so that I can look clever.

‍My favorite solutions usually leave people wondering why they were doing it the old way for so long.

Quite the opposite.
